Rules for Planting Trees & Bushes In Brooks & Allenville Cemeteries

No planting of trees or bushes shall be done without the permission of the Town of Vinland Sexton or the Vinland Town Board.

Location for a planting shall be marked (once approved) by the Town of Vinland Sexton or Town Board.

No plantings shall be allowed in any area mapped for walkways or within 4 feet of any roadway.

All plantings shall be the responsibility of and maintained by the cemetery lot owner or their family.

No plantings shall be allowed to interfere with or obstruct any grave sites or headstone markers.

The Town of Vinland shall not be responsible for any damage to plantings caused by maintaining the cemeteries or preparing grave sites for burials.

The Vinland Town Board may remove or trim trees or bushes if the lot owner or their family abandons their responsibility of maintenance.
